Here are my two little girls! Ellie has been such a wonderful big sister to Reece and Avery. Both her and Reece have had some "minor" issues with baby jealousy, but when I see them loving on her and wanting to help soothe her when she is upset I know it will all be OK! Ellie is so great at putting Avery to sleep. I don't know what it is, but sometimes if Avery won't fall asleep easily for me, Ellie can make it happen. It just melts my heart because it makes Ellie feel so good. They will always have the almost 5 year age difference, but I hope they will be able to form a bond as if they were close in age. Reece is the best big brother too. He has surpassed all my expectations and has amazed me with his gente spirit towards Avery. Oh, I should note he did hit her for the first time this week at her Dr. appt. He told the Dr. in a stern voice that she is his baby. I think he was upset at the Dr. thinking she was going to hurt Avery and since he can't hit the Dr. he went for the smallest thing he could. We haven't had this behavior at home so I really feel that is what he did. It's sweet, but had to go after him for hitting for it. All in all-things are going good!!!
Ellie thought it was so funny her daddy broke the shovel while digging up a couple evergreen trees in the yard where we are building a storage shed. The kids were so excited to get a new shovel-oh the things that excite them =)
